2017 Update: Quarterly Update Schedule Pending Further Changes.

Heya.  Not dead, but working on developing a LARP system (more on that as it develops - it's not related to ponies, sadly) has eaten my very small amounts of free time.  Much of my work here was sidelined as a result.  For that, and for my lack of updates, I apologize.

I can't say much about the system I'm working on instead of this one - I can say that it's a science fiction setting, and that I was brought on board to handle the nitty gritty of the system mechanics in part because of my work on this system, but otherwise I'm pretty much under an NDA.  I'm excited for the opportunity, since this is going to be something I can actually make money off of.

Downside: This system is just no longer able to be a priority, especially since all the people fell out of playing the campaign I was running to test new mechanics.  I haven't even played a tabletop in nearly 6 months, and I've gone through withdrawal and been spit out the far side.  That (and my person being burnt out and sleep deprived) is why updates stopped right after they were going to start again.

Sorry everyone.

I will at least try to finish off the core book's monster manual before I stop working on this for good.  Should be able to put something out today or tomorrow, unless my larp co-conspirators want me to work something out.

It's not "see you next time space cowboy" time yet.  My progress is just... very slow.

Well sit me on Celestia's horn and spin me like a merry-go-round.  I actually got something done.

Here are a couple more monster templates I finished:

What is Going on, here?

It's been a full, incredibly shitty year.

Since last November I've been working full time.  I haven't really had time to create anything else beyond doing work for several local LARP groups.

That said, I haven't forgotten about this project.  I just have sort of had to shelve it.  I'm really sorry I haven't posted or responded to anything since March - I haven't generated any new content, and feel guilty about posting without doing anything.

But now it's approaching a year since the last content update, and I am pissed off at myself.

Expect monthly posts, and hopefully some actual content updates soon.
I'm sorry guys.  Real life has been kicking me seven ways to Sunday.

Life Update

Hey y'all!

Update on why I've been a little inactive these last 8ish weeks:

About 7 weeks ago went and landed a dream job working as an Engineer for a company that I've been admiring the work of for over half a decade.  It's a dream job in the sense that the pay and the work are both awesome and I'm very well qualified for the position, but the down-side is that it's an hour commute from where I'm living right now, to and from.  That means I spend 11ish hours a day at or in transit to work, and only have about 5 hours free time, minus any time spent doing things like preparing food, eating, personal hygiene, and trying to maintain my social networks so that my friends don't think I've died mysteriously.

This is sort of making it hard to work on system updates.  More so when I already have time commitments to a game that I'm running and two other games I'm playing in.  I'm still working, but progress has been... less than satisfactory.

Just trying to keep you guys in the loop.  I've only finished one enemy template this past month:

Maintenance Update

Hey there!
Nothing big to post.  I should have finally gotten around to fixing that word doc link to the first half of the core rule book.  No idea what was wrong, so I just re-linked a new version of the doc with some clarifications and typo fixes.  Should be working now?

Working alphabetically down my list, my priority things to work on are:

Generic NPCs:
> Caravan Guard
> Caravan Guard Pegasus
> Crusader
> Settlement Militia
> Tribal Chief
> Tribal Warrior
> Wasteland Merchant

> Hellhound Digger
> Hellhound Guard
> Hellhound Sniper

> Changeling Stalker
> Enclave Shadowbolt

> Applebug (Mostly done)
> Barricade Bark
> Delicious Fruit Tree
> Killing Joke (Mostly done)
> Moss Ponies
> Needle Pines
> Splinterwolf (Mostly done)
> Zap Apple Bomber
> Steel Ranger Paladin
> Steel Ranger Star Paladin

> Brain Bot (Robo Brain)
> Mister Gutsy
> Mister Handy
> Ponitron (Securitron)

> Slave
> Slaver Boss (Mostly done)
> Slaver Lt.
> Slaver Grunt (Mostly done)
> Slaver Smooth Talker (Based off of a few MN7 characters of note)
> Slaver Visionary (Based off Red Eye and Protege)

> Nightstalker
> Scorposprite

> Zebra Remnant Legion Hunter
> Zebra Remnant Legion Soldier
> Zebra Remnant Legion Technician

But I did just get a call back for an interview... so I'm prioritizing that instead.  This doesn't pay the bills, after all.

Interlocking Character Generation System v1.0

Hey there wastelanders~
You're in for a treat.  I've been developing this neat new method of creating a unified party of characters with interlocking backstories.  It simultaneously generates NPCs and locations to fill your wasteland with!

I call it the ICGS.  This is the first version (That first link was a .docx;  Here is the PDF)- it'll go through its first round of testing with a group of players on Monday, but you all get a special sneak preview of the first completed version.  (Shhhh... don't tell my players!)  It's based off an interesting system used by the Smallville RPG, with some modifications and genrefication to fit the Fallout:Equestria feel.

Below is a basic flowchart of the progression through the phases, which will make more sense if you actually read through the document.

Also, one of my more thorough editors finally got back to me with some edits on the 'final' version of the front-half of the core rulebook.  Mostly typos and clarifications, but I've fixed them and updated a PDF and a word doc version to replace what's currently posted. Expect the links to have the corrected files in the next 24 hours.  You can find a list of the corrections and changes in the changelog text file, under the link of the same name.

September Updates

Hey There!
Friendly system creator checking back in.  Still unemployed, but I'm now organized enough to start working again.

System Updates:
1. Final Book, Part II -
I lost all of my monster sheet templates, completed or otherwise, when I swapped over to the new computer, so I'm working on getting one of my hard drives from the old rig interfaced as a portable to get those back.  Before I could properly back up the files, the CPU fizzled out, soo... yeah.

The "monster manual" is the only thing that's changing significantly out of this portion of the doc other than GM reference tables and a little bit of expansion to the GM assistance section.  I'll post an incomplete version of that back half based on what I currently have in the next hour or so, since I'm apparently just bad at recovering lost sectors from my existing backups.

2.  Roll20 - I'm looking for a few good bronies (or pegasisters, as the case may be) to create a character sheet with relevant mechanics that is usable on the popular online RPG hosting site, Roll20.  Here is a link for those of you who haven't heard of the site; basically it's a free to use GM tool for running games through the internet.  It involves some coding, which is why I've put it off.
When this is complete, I intend to host at least one campaign on there a week. If someone was to complete this for me, I can guarantee that I would run at least a one shot and possibly a personal campaign for you and up to 3 friends.

3.  PH is completed.   What a long, strange ride it has been.  The final adds from PH will be encompassed in the splat book, mostly because I'm working on cybernetics and vehicles there.

4.  New work has begun on Cybernetics, Dragons, Shadow Magic and Vehicles.  I am considering adding Yaks, but frankly I'd be just as happy to say the ornery bastards were all wiped out in the megaspell exchange.  If you have any questions about these topics, feel free to drop me a line below.

That's all I for now folks.  Thank you for your patience.
